Have you ever thought I wish I could be a writer when I grow up? I have since I was little. I hope I grow up soon since I'm nearly an adult. Some people never grow up. I was very sure I wanted to be an author until recently. I went to a workshop where I saw a screenwriter do a talk. I thought it was very interesting. He did scripts for film and TV and I liked the look of that. I have also thought about writing for magazines. Maybe a food critic because I love food and my family say I can be very critical. Or something in a teen or women's magazine about fashion or make-up. Actually that sounds like it could get boring after a while. I could be a film critic, I had not thought of that one before. I am mad about films. I do not think I would get bored watching them all day although I suppose that is probably what every one says when they start out. A few years later when they are jaded they will wish they had never bothered starting in the first place.
Whatever I do I think it will definitely have to be something to do with writing. I would also like to publish at least one book. I will probably have to think of at least one other job to have whilst my writing career gets started. I have wanted to try for quite a while working in a baker's shop or a florist. Since I would probably be allergic to the flowers unless that part of my hay fever has cleared up I will have to cross that one off. I wanted to try being a hairdresser since my hairdresser mentioned it but I have very sensitive skin and you can not have sensitive skin to be a hairdresser since your hands touch so many chemicals unless I wear gloves. So that one will have to go too. What about a Chocolate shop? That would be nice...

In case you have not noticed I ADORE Chocolate and am drooling at the thought of it. I know a lot of other people's dreams. My best friend wants to be a wedding or party planner in Italy. She is already part way there since she is learning Italian at school. She is also studying food which could help with the catering side. She is very neat and makes beautiful food so I can see how she would be great at organising events. She would be great at themes.
I knew someone else who really wanted to be a pilot. I think for a charter airline so they could travel to lots of different places and take holidays there. They must love adventure.
I know some people who have no idea what they want to do yet although they are younger so have more time to think about it.
I read in one magazine about a girl who at fifteen already had a short story published in a compilation and who had just won their story competition. I will have to get writing quick to catch up with her CV. I have so far had nothing published.
