Dream Story - Part 15

"Hi," I say cautiously.
"Who are you?" Nathan asked.
"I'm that girl, you wrote your number on my hand."
"Oh, yeah," I could imagine him smiling.
"Nathan?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you glad to hear from me?" I asked.
"Yes," he said, "What's your name?"
"Minny," I told him.
"That's cute," Nathan said, "Like Minny the Mouse!" I could hear him sniggering.
"Shut up!" I said.
"You wonna meet up?"
"Sure. Where?"I asked.
"The park?"
"Sure."
I was at the park. I was waiting under the big Oak tree like we said. He was not there. What if he did not turn up? What if he was standing me up? I did not know what to do. Should I stay or should I go? I was so hesitant and unsure of myself. When I look back at it now I realise how under-confident I was. How did I ever manage to keep a guy for so long?
I fumbled around in my pocket for a sherbet dipper and sucked on the lemon stick. Then I dipped it in the orange and licked it, my favourite. Next I licked and then dipped it in the strawberry. I sucked it. Not bad. Eventually once I had finished both sherbets and nibbled away at the lemon dipper till it was devoured he appeared.
"Hi," I said, wiping my jeans to get the sherbet on them instead of my hands.
He grabbed my face and kissed me, "You taste good."
"Thanks," I smiled, bit my lip and laughed, "So do you."
We walked hand in hand along the path between the trees. Their auburn leaves fell slowly onto the granite past the beaming sun and bright blue. We swung our hands together between our bodies. I blushed. It was amazing. He kissed me up against a tree. We sat on a bench. Then I lay down. My head on his lap. He stroked his thumb across my lips. I laughed and reached my hand up to my face.
"Don't put it there," he pulled it up to his chest, "Then I can't see your pretty face."
He smiled, I was glowing all over.
I stroked my leg with the other one, it wrinkled my white tights up.
"That's cute," Nathan gleamed.
"What?"
"The way you wrinkled up your tights."
"Oh! Cool."
We got up. He grabbed my hands from above and swung me up and round. It was fun. Like flying.
We wondered off and he bought me a green lollipop. It was sweet but sour like us. So different.
That night we headed to the circus. It was so exciting. We decided to place candy floss on each other's noses and lick it off! The clowns were really funny and Nathan got a pie in the face. I ate it off.
For our week anniversary of going out I baked him a cream pie! It was so funny to see the look on his face. I contemplated the idea and mulled it over first with Roger when he came round to set everything up with me. My make-up was just perfect. A kind of sky blue shadow and red lips. Classic. I had a cute little dungaree skirt thing on that was white cotton instead of denim. The top underneath was a tangy scoop neck.
Guess what? He kissed me. Must be the lighting. Mwa!
