Dream Story - Part 19

We got on the plane and headed for New York city! The big NYC. The big apple. They were showing Ghostbusters on the plane which did not really help. Roger slept for the whole journey. He says it is to catch up so he does not get jet lag. it was one o'clock when we got there. We headed for an American style diner of course. We both ordered burger, chips and Chocolate milkshake. The portions were ginormous. So we only ate a little bit and did not have dessert.
"I have heard rumours about people getting really fat here because of the size of the portions!" Roger told me.
"It's could my dad taught me how to cook then!" I told him.
"Minny, Minny, Minny, he did not tell you how to make my Special Martini, did he now?"
"No, he did not Roger. I suppose you are going to tell me now, are you?"
"No, I am going to make you one when we arrive at the flat!"
We had got on the train, "You brought all the ingredients with you?!"
"Of course! You can't travel around without a good martini, can you?"
"If you say so, Rog!" I am surprised but realise not as much as I thought.
"Have you actually seen this place before?" he asked me.
"No but my dad came over here to see it when he was in the area for his job."
"What does he do exactly?" Roger asked me.
"Oh, have I not told you? He is an investment banker. They had a big client over here and he said he would only work with Dad so they had to send him over!"
"He must be good then!" Roger was impressed, "Shouldn't you be rich then?"
"No! The recession is on. He is lucky he didn't lose his job!"
"It sounds like they are lucky to have him!" Roger and I put our hands on are hips at each other.
"Alright, you win, I can't do that moody old crone look."
"Roger, you cheeky beggar!" I wagged my finger at him, "I am acting like my mother!" I shoved my hand over my face.
"You old dramatic you!"
"Why am I old all of a sudden?!"
"Sorry, darling, I didn't realise you were bothered by wrinkles!"
"I'm not and I don't have any!"
"What's that then?" he picked a hair off my shirt insanely.
"Get away from me you mad man!" I mocked.
"Can I help you miss?" a police man asked me.
"No, I am fine officer," I brushed down my clothes.
"Alright miss. You just come to me if your in trouble, y'hear," he swing his two first fingers at me and gave Roger a funny look.
"Do you think he is homophobic?" asked Rog.
"No, I think he thinks your mad and he is not far off!" I pushed him over with my finger.
He stumbled about a bit and giggled.
We entered the flat. It was quite nice. Roger instantly pulled out some cushions and chucked them on the sofa we got with the apartment. They were very stylish and instantly lit up the room. I stuck my mirror panels on the wall. We ordered a Domino's pizza and ate it in front of the telly. It was pepperoni. we watched a Bruce Willis movie.
We painted the living room lilac. We hung up a lantern shaped lilac lamp. We had a TV with the place but we replaced it with our lavender one. We hung up purple curtains. We added pink and cream vases on the window sill. we lay down a cream, sheepskin rug. We lit lavender tea lights.

In the bathroom we lay down a blue bubble mat. We hung up a shower curtain with a waterfall print on it. We hung plastic seaweed from the ceiling to give it an underwater feel. we added clear blue taps, (I am good at plumbing). We added two soap dispensers with pink coral prints. We have a matching blue bubble mat for the shower. Our toothbrushes are hung on a chrome metal wave with blue suckers attaching it to the wall. We have cool, blue fronted wooden cabinets attached to the wall. There is a crystallised wave on the front you can not see through and a blue part that you can on all of the diagonal left side of the front panel. We have crab shaped orange trays attached to the wall in the shower for our shampoo and things. There is a clear blue towel holder with bubbles through it that keeps our towels warm. We have a matching plastic bubble ring to hang a towel on for guests. We have an oblong, round, blue, plastic lamp shade up in there too. The light switch is on a string and has a fish on the end biting the string that we painted together at Dalton Pottery when we visited Dalton.
In my room there is a dark pink, fluffy rug on the floor, bright pink curtains with stitched in dark pink, wavy lines. My walls are bubblegum pink with one light pink wall to even it out. My chandelier is fake crystal, pink diamonds. my bed covers are lilac with a fluffy, lilac throw on top. my bed is wiggly pink and looks plastic but it is not. My cupboard is a light wood painted light pink. It has white knobs on the two doors with purple swirls painted on (by me)! The walls have on one my set of three pictures of a powder puff and other dainty items. Another wall has a big canvas of a pink rose slightly blurred on it. The pale pink wall is plain and the other has my curtains and window on it. My radiator is behind my bed which is great for the Winter because it keeps me warm but not so hot in the Summer or should I say hot. I have a big frame with pink and yellow ice-cream round it that has a picture of Roger and I in it with our arms round each other in front of his pink convertible. He says when he is a millionaire hairdresser he wants to swap it for a pink limo! This frame is placed on my light pink desk which is made of wood. it has space for my chair to go under in the middle and sweeps round to the sides in a semi-circle. The chair is see-through, dark pink plastic. I have some funky little box trays that are white, light pink and lilac on the front with cute, little, white knobs on them. They are for putting all my junk in.
Roger's room is a cool green. It is very minimalist. His bed is a green mint, dark green and orange striped futong. He has it up in the day so him and his guests can sit on it. His blinds are mint green. He has pictures of me and him on his wall in steel, round frames at jaunty angles. They are on one wall. They look kind of like windows on a submarine or boat. He has a pastel green, furry rug on the floor. He has a bobble green carpet. He has an excellent dark green throw on the edge of his futong and six tiny green cushions on it. He hides a pillow that is light green under his futong too. He has a built-in cupboard which is inside the wall so you just open the door which is part of the wall and step inside. It is quite small. You can just fit inside. All of his clothes are in piles on green mint shelves. They are mostly checkered shirts, jumpers and jeans. He has one look and eventually changes it when it is so out of fashion his grandfather would not wear it! He has a small side drawer he puts his latest book from the library in (he does not buy any books because he only uses them once, if someone gets him one as a present he sends it to a charity shop as soon as he has read it or I get it if I want it), He also keeps a hand held mint mirror in the top, tiny drawer. On top he has a lime green lava lamp. his lamp on the ceiling is matching with mine but green.
Our dining room has one deep red wall, one milk chocolate and one white to contrast with each other. It is filled with a big, mahoganhy, varnished table in a deep, cherry red colour with matching, curly chairs. Their is a fabric, light red napkin like covering on the table that is easy to wipe clean. The lamp is a normal triangular shape and cream.
The kitchen is basic. A steel sink, washing machine, white fridge, wipe clean floor and walls (Rog is a messy cook), a grey lampshade (to hide stains), a dishwasher is what we are saving up for and surprisingly the kitchen is very cramped. None of the rooms are very big but this room is tiny! The cupboards are brown wood. All over the walss from top to bottom to fit everything in. We have a toaster on a sill area in-between tow cupboards.
