Dream Story - Part 24

I miss my mum! She came over today and made me a roast dinner. It was lovely. We had a girly chat and watched Mamma Mia which I got her for Christmas.
Freddy came over yesterday and we had a little football game with Roger and Mandy. It was very fun although I did feel a little awkward when I saw some flirting between Mandy and Freddy. She assures me it will not go anywhere though.
"He's your ex, you shouldn't mind!" Roger tells me as we are walking through the park.
"Isn't there that rule about going out with people's exs?"
"No! That's for weird, strangely jealous people! get a grip! I thought you didn't like him any more?" he looked concerned.
"I thought I did and just wanted to be friends but now I'm not so sure," I bit my lip.
"It's just jealousy. You'll get over it eventually and then you'll be sky high and heading onto better things!" he rubbed my back.
"I feel like a baby!" I said, "How is match.com working out?" I asked.
"It's not so good. Loads of women keep trying to chat me up. One said, 'If I meet the right one.' I mean, what is that?!" he put his hands out in front of him, palms up, his elbows near his stomach.
"No cute guys then?"
"No. They are all middle-aged women."
He seemed down in the dumps so I tried to cheer him up by buying him an ice-cream drink.
"Aw, thanks doll, you didn't need to!"
Roger and I have decided to adopt a dog together. It will be an Old English Sheepdog Puppy since we both love them and a dog at the pound just gave birth. It's a boy. It's very shy and adorable! We both love him and have named him Harry. How cute!
