Freddy and I have decided just to be friends. It is not working between us any more. Mandy and I met up for coffee today.
"God, these are ve-ry sweet!" I told her.
"I know!" she laughed, "It is so great to have a fresh perspective on everything here. Everyone else is like, 'That's just normal coffee!' They think I'm mad!" she laughed again and sort of snorted.
She showed me all of her favourite shops in town. Some of them were pretty special. Down allies where no one would see them.
"I got this really cute necklace just down here-" we walked down the alley way, "-Oh! It's closed. That's the recession for you!"
We were both disappointed but decided to head home.
When I was there Roger had made us spaghetti hoops on toast.
"Wow, nice!" I told him.
"Don't be so sarcastic! The oven has broken, I have called out for a mechanic. He can not be here for a couple of weeks so I microwaved this."
"OK, I suppose you did your best. Maybe we should have a couple of weeks of going out to restaurants for meals?"
"Only if you want to get fat!" he said.
"Well, we could just eat half or, even better, we could share a meal! That would save money too!" I raised my finger in a eureka moment.
Today at work I had to take pictures of some spring dresses. They were very floaty and light green. We did it with them dancing around daffodils like fairies. I had some spare time so I helped one of the other photographers with this candy lips thing he was doing. It looked lovely but it was fiddly sticking things in place. He got the lighting perfect while I adjusted the model.
